(...)You may find that what your musical persona is is not what you thought it would be. Who you really are at the piano could be different than who you thought you were/are. This was true for me. The way I play now is something I would never have imagined 10 years ago, and it's definitely not something I could have crafted through diligent work. And it's not something I could force either. I simply drifted towards the clothes that seemed to fit me best and then kept going back to them because they fit nicely. And here I am. That's what's great about music, it teaches you more about who you really are as a person than the other way around. The music me is the real me. The real me is the fake me. me-may-my-mo-moo.
